lewis county

lewis County is...

a budding clean-energy epicenter, ideally located half-way between Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon on the I-5 Corridor. The county is rich with natural resources, which may be why so many green tech companies have already chosen to locate here.

The area is home to the TransAlta Wind Farm; Providence Health, which boasts the largest solar array in the state of Washington; the Center of Excellence for Clean Energy; the Washington Corridor Electrification Initiative, and the Electric Airplane testbed initiative. Even the area’s public transit is run on electric and hydrogen technology.

Most importantly, Lewis County is home to the Energy Innovation Coalition, a thinktank of local businesses, organizations, and government agencies dedicated to facilitating clean energy innovation and supporting related businesses. The EIC streamlines the process of building or relocating a clean-energy business in Lewis County and creates a support network of peers and experts designed to ensure its success.
