The area is home to the TransAlta Wind Farm; Providence Health, which boasts the largest solar array in the state of Washington; the Center of Excellence for Clean Energy; the Washington Corridor Electrification Initiative, and the Electric Airplane testbed initiative. Even the area’s public transit is run on electric and hydrogen technology.

Most importantly, Lewis County is home to the Energy Innovation Coalition, a thinktank of local businesses, organizations, and government agencies dedicated to facilitating clean energy innovation and supporting related businesses.
