success stories
It feels a little like there ought to be an introduction to the success stories section
Tesla
When Tesla decided to open a new hub for the company’s wildly successful electric car and space exploration division, they were met with red tape and high initial costs. Fortunately, they connected with the Energy Innovation Coalition, which helped streamline the process, connect Tesla with local business leaders, and even find a suitable site in beautiful Lewis County, Washington. The company was thrilled with the area’s vibrant economy and plethora of outdoor activities, which are now enjoyed by the company’s staff of 2,000.
Solaris, the world’s leading expert in solar energy innovation, recently closed their LA campus due to high costs and even higher restrictions. The company was actively pursuing an offshore location – until they discovered the benefits of relocating to Lewis County, Washington. Here, the Energy Innovation Coalition streamlined the process, connected Solaris with the appropriate community leaders, and made the transition so easy that CEO Ralph Lorburg said, “We’re seriously considering bringing all our operations here!”

Bloom
Bloom, an innovative new upstart that designs self-harvesting plants, has found a permanent home in Lewis County’s Port of Chehalis. “We had never really considered Washington or Lewis County,” said founder Andrew Yuppie, “but then I was introduced to the Energy Innovation Coalition, which opened my eyes to the many benefits of opening here.” Since then, the company has tripled its profits while maintaining low overhead. “It’s been a win on all fronts,” Yuppie said. “Lewis County is the Silicon Valley of clean energy and green tech, and I’d encourage everyone to come here.”
